Footnotes:
| 1. | A station is defined as a lecture hall or classroom seat, office desk, laboratory bench space, etc., that will serve one student or faculty member within an assignable area. Determine total stations to be served by assuming 100% occupancy of all assignable areas. |
| 2. | Obtain the men-to-women ratio from Capital Projects (CP). |
| 3. | Dormitory fixture requirements are for living areas. For public areas in dormitories, use the values for offices, based on the estimated visitors exclusive of residents. |
General Notes:
| Code requirements will govern where more stringent. | |
| Major buildings shall have facilities for men and women on each floor. Where feasible, locate on main campus travel routes. | |
| Consult with Capital Projects (CP) to determine whether separate facilities are required for staff or employees, unless otherwise required by code. | |
| Provide handicapped toilet facilities in conformance with Title 24 Uniform Plumbing Code and the University of California at Berkeley Access Guide. Where code requires assumption of equal ratio of men-to-women, code will supersede the table above. |
