| 2. | Determine to what degree wood is acceptable in construction. In areas requiring treated wood provide specific direction to Contractor. Review characteristics of treated wood for rot resistance, fire-treated and toxicity. |
| 3. | In glue-lam construction, clearly specify type of finish required, also protection during transportation. |
| 4. | Determine lead time that may be required and review against project schedule. |
| 5. | Clearly specify moisture content. |

| 1. | On drawings indicate blocking for wall mounted casework. |
| 2. | Provide seismic lips on open-shelving. |
| 3. | Require shop drawings as appropriate. |
| C. | Custom Casework |
| 1. | Review with project manager WIC standar requirements. |
| 2. | Review with project manager requirement for mock-ups or originals. |
| D. | Wood Veneer Faced Paneling |
| 1. | Flame spread class rating of wood veneer is to be compatible with construction rating of building. |
| E. | Glass Fiber And Resin Fabrications |
| 1. | Select products that are available during the construction period. |
| 2. | Specify adhesives of minimum toxicity or require breeze-out period during curing. |
| 3. | Verify chemical resistance for chemical-resistant tops and edge detail for exposure to spilled chemicals. |
| 4. | Coordinate location for laboratory utilities with cut-outs in resin counters. |
